Rusell Edson

I just spent the last 6 hours working on folios. On and off. I had to let a lot of it dry. But they're almost done. I ran out of black thread and nowI'm once again waiting for something to dry. I had to dip white thread in india ink to make it black. I had a better idea for them. On each page is a medical diagram of a hand or an X-ray of one, and torn up tracing paper that i had sewn on. On the tracing paper are pieces of a poem by Russell Edson called the Fight.
It goes:
A man is fighting with a cup of coffee. The rules: he must not
break the cup nor spill its coffee; nor must the cup break the
man's bones or spill his blood.

The man said, oh the hell with it, as he swept the cup to
the floor. The cup did not break but its coffee poured out
of its open self.

The cup cried, don't hurt me, please don't hurt me; I am
without mobility, I have no defense save my utility; use
me to hold your coffee.
I love Russell Edson's poetry. It's so funny.

3D Project

I've now been to all my classes. I was so excited to be back to school and have work to do again because I was so bored over winter break. And then none of my teachers have given me much homework. I can start working on my 2D folios, but I need to go get a goauche kit first. The first folio we have to do must be red. I want to do something like take photos or transfers of these trees's branches that I think look like veins and then make them into veins on a wrist. Then have an ocean, but red, like the bloodin the veins, with fish and such. And I want to havea mermaid on the last page, holding an umbrella with red rain coming down. Although I think that almost seems like emo, suicidal art, which is the only reason I wouldn't do it. I don't need the teacher thinking I'm going to off myself.
I did start working on my 3D project. Well one of them: taking photos of objects that have been worn away over time. So far I've taken pictures of the fillings in my teeth and I want to take pictues of my mom's smile lines around her eyes and mouth.

1st Blog Post

Well this is supposed to be a blog to keep a record of my days in art school for my computer class. I've failed miserably at getting any pictures up. The file size is not that big, but the computer has tried to keep me here for 10 mintues uploading a single image. Maybe the computer is just retarded. I think it is, so once I get my own computer fixed I'll try again.
