Work

Here's a couple things that I did in Illustrator that I didn't post. The first is of my friend Kate. It's a picture I took from her facebook. I turned her into a spy. I like how it turned out, but I really want to put an explosion or a sneaky looking guy in the background to confirm her status as a spy.
The other one is me. A self portrait done in text. The text is a poem that my friend Jake wrote. I really like it and am surprised it looks anything like me. So I'm glad it turned out how it did.

Out and About

I'm in the tech center on main campus. Main campus adventure!
I've only been here like twice. i was supposed to go see this career info thing with Random House Publishing here, but they didn't show up. Casual business attire. So I've been running around in a skirt all day in the cold. And since the next bus doesn't come until 7:30, I went and bought a pair of sweat pants to wear.
I'm excited for computers class next week. Since I missed this week. I spent so much time on the homework I really want to turn it in and have everyone be amazed, like Ryan was today.
And I have to find out what the homework is for this week. I have so much to do tonight. I've got to finish my folios, finish making a mold, fix my english paper, and find some stuff for my 2D project tomorrow.
I also need to make a trip to home depot to get some wood for my 3D project. And start that. It's due next week and I haven't really gotten anything done. We don't have 3D class tomorrow, but Friday is just a work day for that. But I think I can get it done this weekend. I also have 4 drawing to do over the weekend for drawing AND I need to study for art history.

Don't Know

Bleh. I have too much work to do. My drawing teacher is giving way too much homework and I have stuff leftover from last week since I was in the hospital for stitches. They still aren't healed, but they don't hurt anymore. and there's a scab, so I don't have to worry about getting charcoal or plaster or clay or anything in them. And now I just feel so run down and tired from everything.
I've been up so late for the past few nights trying to catch up on everything and mythroat feels so sore.
Complain, complain, complain.

First Adobe Illustrator Projects

The 1st part of the project was to create two pictograms each showing a job you would have considered if not art. This was my favorite of the two: an astronaut. Until I was about 8 I was convinced I was going to go on to the moon and maybe Mars. Then I think when I was 9 some kid in school told me NASA wasn't making any more trips to the moon, so there was that dream crushed. But I still thought I was going to go to Mars. Finally I figured out that there was no way I was going to go to Mars and besides the fact that they probably aren't going to get to Mars until I'm old I never had any idea how to go about becoming an astronaut. I don't like to exercise and I think it involves going into the air force, SOOOOOOO. That's a no.
The second part of my homework was to create a warning label for yourself. Mine was may cause confusion since sometimes my sense of humor confuses people. Like how when I first made the label and accidentally typed may cause conusion instead of confusion. I thought it was funny. But later, telling the story I couldn't get anyone to giggle. Maybe it isn't that funny.
